According to Aerocivil Res. 222 and ICAO Document 8973 Eighth Edition 2011, Selection and Instruction, Chapter 8

It has the following processes:

Search and analysis of candidate resumes according to the established profile (electronic and written media database).
Screening of shortlisted candidates (interview and psychological test).
Security studies of selected (criminal records, home visit, fingerprint registration, financial, labor and documentary verification).
Polygraph Test: This has the objective of identifying if the applicants have ties with groups outside the law, if they have an interest in entering to commit acts of unlawful interference and if they are habitual consumers of prohibited psychoactive substances.
Medical entrance exams, adjusted to comply with the National Quality Control Plan issued by the Civil Aviation Safety Directorate, which include:
Visual acuity
Color perception
Auditory acuity
Sense of smell
Communication skills
Perception and awareness
Chemical Substance Dependence

Polygraphic Services (for special investigations involving Santillana and control personnel to validate the reliability of the personnel).

All linked personnel will be hired for an indefinite term. This being consistent with our philosophy of valuing staff and seeking their long-term permanence; Therefore, without exception, all personnel will comply in their selection and hiring process with all the requirements defined by the National Quality Control Plan, which includes interviews, psychotechnical tests, reliability tests, safety studies, medical examinations of income (described in part A, personnel selection section). During their stay in the company, they will be submitted annually to a polygraph test for reliability control purposes and specifically when they are involved in something that requires it.

We have also defined that the basic salary will be above that stipulated by the supervision superintendency in order to reduce turnover. Additionally, they will have the right to pay all the surcharges established by law in Colombia, such as night surcharges, holiday surcharges, as well as the payment of overtime when they are generated.

The selected candidate complies with the courses required by the Superintendency of Surveillance and Private Security, Foundations and Technological Means. Likewise, all personnel are trained in the AVSEC security specialty. We have an ICAO qualified instructor.

o Techniques used by criminals to evade security measures and procedures
o Sabotage devices and how to recognize them
o Airport security plan and Aircraft operator security plan
o Safety inspections and tests
o Security measures on land
o Security devices and systems
o Report writing
o Actions in special cases
o Way of recognizing the characteristics and behavior models of possible offenders (Interviewer Training – security interviews, passenger profile).
o Use of equipment, precautions for its proper use and procedures for requesting maintenance thereof
o Rules on airport operation
o General notions about airports and aircraft.
o Notions about dangerous goods.
o Contents of the National Civil Aviation Security Program and the Airport Security Plan related to the inspection of passengers and baggage.
o Identification of firearms, weapons in general and other dangerous devices.
o Operation and testing of X-ray equipment, metal detectors and explosives.
o Physical inspection of people.
o Manual registration of luggage, cargo, mail and supplies.
o Procedures for action in cases of emergency or acts of unlawful interference.
o Flight care.
o Reception and inspection of general cargo, luggage and mail. o Physical inspection of people.

o Regulations (local and foreign).

All the concepts are consolidated under the method of training in the jobs (OJT – On The Job Training).

MEANS AND EQUIPMENT
According to each project they can include:

Laptop, Smartphone, data plan and mail (Coordinator) AVANTEL communication system radio and telephone mode for security officers.

  • In case it is necessary, we have x-ray equipment that is within the list of equipment authorized by the TSA of the United States until the year 2020

  • Our staff has the identification required by the surveillance superintendency in accordance with the regulation of the Superintendency of Surveillance and OPAIN
